Reports To: Sr. Director, Engineering and Project Management

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Status: Full-Time



Engineer with 5+ years of midstream experience to perform activities necessary to develop and execute a broad range of natural gas facility projects including high pressure transmission pipeline, compression, storage, gathering, treating, and processing.


  • Provide process engineering expertise, recommendations, designs and quality control to efficiently install and operate amine units and cryogenic gas plants
  • Design project facilities and ensure all designs are in accordance with industry codes and company policies
  • Define engineering tasks and resource requirements
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Plan, develop, direct, and manage assigned projects and teams with respect to scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, risk, environmental permitting, and compliance requirements
  • Ensure that assigned engineering initiatives or project(s) scope, cost, and schedule are predictable, accurate, tracked, and reported
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks as they arise; mitigate or eliminate risks before they evolve into material threats to project integrity or commercial support
  • Participate in providing direction to start-up/commissioning teams, plan and implement project commissioning, start-up and acceptance testing protocol
  • Monitor coordination of commissioning activities and transition of new facilities to the Operations team
  • Oversee coordination with all internal stakeholders, including Commercial, Business Development, Operations, and Finance & Accounting


  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical Engineering strongly preferred) is required
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in midstream engineering and project management
  • Must have natural gas, crude oil, and NGL midstream services experience
  • Experience with natural gas cryogenic processing plants and natural gas treating is required
  • Must have ProMax experience


  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly with respect to deadlines
  • Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions
  • Must be detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast paced, and constantly evolving environment as well as extended hours, as required
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of liquid hydraulics, ANSI and ASME standards, 49CFR195 code, and API standards
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to engender constructive cooperation from support staff and customers
  • Excellent analytic, problem solving, team building, and project management and cost tracking skills
  • Ability to travel to company project locations on a routine basis
  • Physical capabilities of standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, and frequent heavy lifting
  • Work outside in all types of inclement weather
